5. Card-Making Workshop for Seniors

Join Snail Mail for Seniors 2 p.m. at the Plymouth Community Arts Council in making greeting cards for area seniors using original artwork, rubber stamps, collages and more. All materials are provided and children must be accompanied by an adult. An optional $2 donation per person may be given to cover the cost of postage.

Snail Mail for Seniors is a Canton based non-profit providing handmade cards to seniors from assisted living apartments, nursing homes, and private homes that love receiving mail. Meals on Wheels recipients in the area also receive their cards.

3. Old Village Halloween Haunted Block Party is TODAY

Plymouth's Old Village is getting into the spooky spirit this weekend with its sixth annual Halloween Haunted Block Party from 12-4 p.m. Sunday on Liberty Street between Mill Street and Starkweather. There will be costume contests for kids, pets and adults, as well as kiddie train rides, trick-or-treating, the Pumpkin Tower of Death, 50/50 raffle and pumpkin bowling.

Get ready for elections in less than two weeks by checking out our Voter Guide. Learn which positions are open and who is running. 

1. Wicked Halloween Run is TODAY

Don a costume and some running shoes for the  Wicked Halloween Run 7 a.m. Oct. 28 in downtown Plymouth. There will be a 10K, 5K and monster mile run, which all start and finish in Kellogg Park.  Entertainment includes an on-stage dance performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
