Schostak Brothers & Company to Host Groundbreaking for Northville Park Place

65,000-square-foot restaurant, retail and mixed used development part of Schostak Brothers & Company and REI Investment Group, Inc.’s, Phase 2 plans for the 82-acre development​

LIVONIA, Mich., June 24, 2014 – Livonia, Mich.-basedSchostak Brothers & Company along with Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based REI Investment Group, Inc., will announce plans for Phase 2 of their joint-venture, Northville Park Place, during a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. Schostak Brothers & Company’s Chief Executive Officer David Schostak made the announcement.

After recently completing the 100,000-square-foot Phase 1 for the new University of Michigan Northville Health Center at Northville Park Place, Schostak Brothers & Company and REI Investment Group, Inc. are beginning construction of Phase 2, which will include 22 acres of the project’s total 82 acres of land at the southwest corner of 7 Mile and Haggerty. Northville Park Place is a prominent new feature in the region’s commercial development landscape. Expected to open 65,000 square feet in Spring 2015, Schostak Brothers & Company is actively leasing for this phase of the project. Phase 2 construction is scheduled for completion by mid-January 2015, with interior tenant build-outs occurring through the first quarter of 2015. Exciting new businesses committed to Phase 2 include Granite City Food & Brewery, Rusty Bucket, Sherwin Williams, BurgerFi, Chipotle and Jimmy John’s. Other unique business opportunities are currently in negotiations as well.

“From a regional perspective, Northville Park Place is positioned as a prominent and scenic new retail destination, designed to energize the community and serve as a valuable civic resource and a popular social hub,” said Schostak. “Offering first-class amenities, as well as fantastic retail, restaurants and mixed-use options, Northville Park Place is the connecting link along the flourishing Haggerty Corridor between 6 and 8 Mile roads.”

The property, which will be directly connected via bike paths to the future Northville Township Park, will feature amenities, including water ponds with floating fountains, an elevated waterfall, walkable paths, a gathering area and outdoor seating throughout the property. To enhance the outdoor experience, Northville Park Place will be thoroughly landscaped to include a wide variety of perennials, ornamental grasses and flower features.

The groundbreaking event will be hosted on the land at 7 Mile and Haggerty Road and will be attended by business partners of both Schostak Brothers & Company and REI Investment Group, Inc.
