1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Oakland Twp. Head-On Crash: Sheriff
One man was killed and another was seriously injured after a Thursday head-on crash in Oakland Township, officials said.
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI — One man was killed and another was seriously injured after a Thursday head-on crash in Oakland Township, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said a 61-year-old Oakland Township man was driving a 2000 Subaru Outback north on Adams Road near Addison Circle South at 6:16 p.m. when he crossed into the southbound lane and hit a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.
Officials found the driver of the Subaru dead in the driver's seat and determined he was not wearing a seatbelt. Officials did not release his name as they are working to find his family.

The 30-year-old man driving the Equinox was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition, officials said. Investigators determined he was wearing his seatbelt.
Officials were still working to determine if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

An autopsy was scheduled by the Oakland County Medical Examiner for the 61-year-old Oakland Township man who died in the crash.
