Man Found Dead Inside Rochester Hills Motel

Housekeeping found a guest dead in their bed Tuesday morning. Police are now investigating.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Police are investigating the death of a man inside a Rochester Hills motel room. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, a 50-year-old Sterling Heights resident was found dead in the bed by housekeeping personnel Tuesday morning at the Red Roof Inn, located on Crooks Road. The staff told authorities that the man had been staying there since April 7 and they had not heard from him since the previous day.

Authorities pronounced the man dead at the scene and an investigation into his cause of death is underway. Police say there were no signs of foul play in the preliminary investigation.
