Roberts Elementary creates future leaders through new honor society

Roberts Elementary creates future leaders through new honor society
More than 40 Roberts Elementary students are getting an early start on becoming future community leaders.

The 43 students are part of the inaugural National Elementary Honor Society chapter established in September at Roberts Elementary.

They took their pledge at a December 2 induction ceremony, promising to follow the pillars of NEHS of scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership.

Roberts was approved for a NEHS chapter in September. Students from fifth and sixth grade who had 3.5 GPAs and good citizenship were invited to apply. Forty three members were inducted into the chapter on Monday, December 2nd.

Music was provided before and after the event by the Eisenhower High School Euphonic Trio and Caitlin Maniaci.

The chapter advisor is Amy Booth-Kemmerling. Faculty advisors include Nicole Medley, Christie Petras, Dana Gress and Christina Saari.
