Marijuana Legalization on Nov. 3 Ballot in Keego Harbor
Voters in both Keego Harbor and Lathrup Village will decide whether to impose term limits in Tuesday's election.

Keego Harbor voters will decide Tuesday if adults living in the city limits can possess small amounts of marijuana for recreational purposes on private property.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Tuesday’s election. Find your polling place here.
Peter Trzos, 33, is backing the proposal, as well as a second measure that would limit terms on the Keego Harbor City Council. Currently, there are no restrictions, but Trzos told The Oakland Press that limiting officials to two three-year terms on the council is good government.

“I want to get good laws passed and to get a name for myself as a positive activist,” he told the newspaper.
The city of Lathrup Village is also considering term limits. Voters there will answer the question:

“Shall the Charter of the City of Lathrup Village, Michigan be amended by adding a new Section 5.1A, to be entitled ‘Term Limits,’ and to read ‘No person shall be eligible for election as a member of the Council if that person has served as a member of the Council for two (2) terms. Serving more than two (2) years of a term shall be considered a full term for the purpose of this charter amendment.’ ”
