Vice President Biden to Make Campaign Stop in West Bloomfield

Tickets are not available for the visit, believed to be the first time that a sitting U.S. V.P. has come to town.

Vice President Biden to Make Campaign Stop in West Bloomfield

According to West Bloomfield Township Supervisor Michele Economou Ureste, Wednesday will mark the first time in which a sitting U.S. president or vice president has visited the township.

Vice President Joe Biden is expected to visit Wednesday for a campaign rally. Although tickets were announced Saturday as being available beginning at $500, Shenandoah management indicated Tuesday that only a small group will actually be visiting Biden.

"It's a special time for the township and for the folks at Shenandoah. They have a unique, impressive facility and I'm glad to see the campaign make a stop there," Economou Ureste said.

Management did not indicate what time Biden would be in town. Police Chief Michael Patton did not comment when specifically asked of possible road closures or delays due to transport security, but did indicate that if a closure were to occur, it would likely be "for a very short time."
