If you're a procrastinator like me, chances are you either haven't gotten your Valentine a gift yet, or you ordered two super awesome gifts on Friday and they won't arrive in time for the holiday (which is exactly what happened to me). Fear not, though, we have many places in White Lake offering wonderful ideas for Valentine's Day.
Who doesn't love a sweet treat on Valentine's Day, if your significant other has a sweet tooth then you can head into , just off M-59, and grab them a variety of tasty treats. At Trifles you will find a variety of cookies, chocolates, cakes and candies. Owner Gwen Borders sells her own brand of candy, called Road Candy, and I highly recommend it. For Valentine's Day the store will carry Valentine's pretzels (including my personal favorite, the chocolate covered pretzel dipped in M&M candies), truffles including hazelnut, mint, champagne flavors and Pink Flamingo cupcakes or Cherry Chip cupcakes with a burst of tart cherry filling.
Need a last-minute bouquet? You can try and make your own, beautiful arrangement. Pair it with a box of chocolates or one of the store beautiful lawn ornaments and you have the perfect gift for someone who loves gardening. If you're really desperate, you can also stop at or and check out their floral departments for pre-made Valentine's Day arrangements.
One of the easiest ways to please your Valentine is to create your own gift basket filled with things they love. This can include flowers and chocolates, gift cards from or , and a gift card to , , or . Or you can create a movie lovers basket by purchasing a large popcorn dish from Meijer or along with a box of popcorn, popcorn seasoning, a box of their favorite candy and a movie or two. If you can't find a movie you think they'd like, you can gift them a subscription to Netflix so they can enjoy a variety of movies and television shows.

Last, but not least, you can make a quick trip to the grocery store and get the ingredients for the perfect night in. This can include a homemade dinner for two (or take out from your favorite restaurant), a movie from your local Redbox and a bottle of your favorite wine, beer or champagne. If you need drink recommendations, I suggest you head to - they have a great selection of beer and wines, and the owners are very knowledgeable. Need a recipe idea? Try these:
