Teens Arrested At Lakeland Football Game

Two 14-year-olds from Highland Township were taken into custody by Aug. 30 during the football game.

According to the police report, school staff witnessed the teens inside the high school. When the staff members approached the teens, they ran off, the report stated.

Later that evening the two children were seen inside the stadium at the football game. Staff approached the two and began to question them about why they were in the building earlier, according to police. During the questioning one of the kids attempted to run off and was stopped by some nearby adults, police said.

When police arrived the kids were questioned further and, through investigation, they were found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. At that point, the two teens were taken to the station.

Both were turned over to their parents and released pending further investigation.
