The Trenton Mid-Summer Festival is changing its dates for 2013, which means it won’t run at the same time as the Wyandotte Street Art Fair.

“I believe that having any event during the same time as our fair affects the attendance,” said Heather Thiede, Wyandotte's special event coordinator. “It is a benefit to both events that the date was changed.”

The Trenton Mid-Summer Festival has fallen on same date as the Wyandotte Street Art Fair for the past few years.

“Our festival has continuously been the second week in July for over 50 years,” Thiede said. “Typically, we get over 150,000 visitors to our downtown during the four-day festival.”

The dates for the 2013 Wyandotte Street Art Fair are July 10-13.

“We are currently working on sending out the artist applications next month and putting together our sponsorship packages,” she said. “There will be many new and exciting things that will be announced shortly.”

This year, more than 300 artists, musicians, performers, exhibitors and restaurants participated.
