
EAGAN, MN — Authorities are investigating the Monday death of a 40-year-old man at an Eagan park. On Aug. 6 just before 7 p.m. Eagan officers were dispatched on the report of a man who was involved in a bicycle crash at Lebanon Hills Park located at 4800 Johnny Cake Ridge Road.
The caller told police the man was on the bike path and wasn't breathing. Resuscitation efforts were attempted by emergency personnel. The man was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Police spoke with the caller who reported seeing the man go down. He said the man had been involved in a minor crash and appeared uninjured. A short time later, the man went unconscious and he called 911.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner responded to the scene and will be conducting an autopsy. There is no foul play suspected in this incident, and preliminary evidence suggests this death is a result of a "serious medical event."

The identity of the man will not be released until the examiner has made a positive identification.
