Faithful Shepherd Catholic School Veterans Day Concert
The public is invited to attend the Veterans Day Concert on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. The school especially invites veterans to attend to give the students an opportunity to say "thank you."
Faithful Shepherd Catholic School started the event four years ago, according to a news release from the school. Part of the purpose of the concert is "to raise student awareness of what a veteran is and why it is important to honor and celebrate them."
“Since we started this event, we have significant growth in our students' understanding and appreciation of veterans," said Faithful Shepherd Assistant Principal, Maureen Odegard in the news release. "In addition, those veterans who have attended tell us they welcome the opportunity to connect with our students and be recognized.”
Over 60 veterans attended the event last year. The concert this year will include a flag procession, music performances, a dramatic reading and artistic displays.
Guests will need to sign in at the front desk. For more information, call the school at 651-406-4747. Faithful Shepherd Catholic School is located at 3355 Columbia Drive in Eagan.
