PHOTOS: St. Dominic Students Paint City Snowplows

The City of Northfield Streets Department has dropped off two snowplows at St. Dominic School for fifth- and seventh-grade students to paint in a way to represent the school.

The winter season will be a little more colorful this year.

The City of Northfield Streets Department has dropped off two snowplows at St. Dominic School for fifth- and seventh-grade students to paint in a way to represent the school.

St. Dominic art teacher Kelly Lynn Stanton-Nutt started her students on the plows this week and plans to have them finish the project next week.

Streets and Parks Supervisor T.J. Heinricy said that it's likely a few more plows could be dropped off for St. Dominic students to paint. He said it's a great collaboration that get the school's imprint into the community.

Heinricy said a similar idea with Northfield Public Schools elementary schools didn't pan out this year but he's hopeful they can work out something in the future.
