Body Found In Mississippi River Near Lowry Avenue Bridge
Authorities were notified of a reported body floating in the Mississippi River south of the Lowry Avenue Bridge Sunday.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered in the Mississippi River in Minneapolis this weekend. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a reported body floating in the Mississippi River south of the Lowry Avenue Bridge at 2:20 p.m. Sunday.
The body was spotted by the Minneapolis Police Department and an adult male body was recovered from the river by the Sheriff's Office Water Patrol, with assistance from Minneapolis Fire Department at 4:06 p.m., according to a news release.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
