Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 11, and if you're still without a gift we have some quick and easy suggestions to steer you away from the valley of shame and regret.
Share Your Ideas
Local business: Do you have great ideas for last-minute Mother's Day gifts? Share them in the comments, or go to the Conversations section to highlight them in a separate post. Encourage local shopping for the holiday!
And if your business has any brunch deals or special events on Mother's Day, post them to the calendar under the Events tab.
In addition to those five gift ideas, here are a few more that are manageable just a few days before the holiday:
Homemade gift certificates - Take a pen, some colored paper and start creating gift certificates she can redeem for a lunch, a visit, a shopping trip, a certain number of phone calls, whatever your mother enjoys. Maybe she wants you to weed the garden, put that in as well.
Dedicate a book in her honor – Did your mother read to you? Of course she did. Dedicate a book in her honor at the public library. This is a great way to show your love, to your mom and to other readers.
Cook something special - If you can't get a reservation at your mom’s favorite restaurant, cook her dinner at your house or maybe just whip up a special treat she loves.
