Linden Hills Annual 'Woofstock' is Sept. 7
The ninth annual event will likely attract more than 4,000 dog lovers to the Southwest Minneapolis neighborhood.
According to a press release, the free event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on 43rd Street between Upton Avenue South and Vincent Avenue South in Minneapolis. More than 4,000 people are expected to attend the event.
The following is more information on the event from the release:
Dogs and their people can stroll the business district to take advantage of special events and discounts at neighborhood merchants. The streets are also home to the Linden Hills Woofstock Love-In Exhibition, this year boasting a record 49+ booths full of Fido finds—from grooming, rescuing, luggage, and food to clothing, bedding, photography, a children’s book author, walking, and boarding. Other events include live music, a demonstration by the Minneapolis Police Canine Unit, and the annual dog trick contests, hosted by K102’s Amy James.
Linden Hills Woofstock 2013 is sponsored by Pampered Pooch Playground, Bubbly Paws Self-Service Dog Wash, ADOGO Pet Hotels, SidewalkDog.com, and Minnesota Parent Magazine.
“We are thrilled to be hosting this event for an ninth year,” said Anne Schultz, owner of Linden Hills Florist and Linden Hills Business Association president. “There is a decidedly dog-friendly spirit to our community. We love the way dogs add character to our neighborhood and make all of us better humans.”
