Chuck E. Cheese’s has signed a lease to occupy a building that will be constructed north of the SuperTarget in Woodbury.
Developers and company officials are in the process of securing approvals from the city, said Paul Maenner, partner with MW Development.
It’s part of the “next wave of new projects that are coming online” at the Commerce Hill development, Maenner said, following Monday’s groundbreaking for a new McDonald’s, along with plans for a in buildings currently under construction.
The new Chuck E. Cheese’s building will be about 15,000 square feet, Maenner said.
“We’ve very excited about both McDonald’s and Chuck E. Cheese and we expect them to do extremely well in this location,” he said.
There are seven other Chuck E. Cheese’s locations in Minnesota; the closest to Woodbury is on Roberts Street in West St. Paul.
The Woodbury Chuck E. Cheese’s hopes to be open by the end of the year, Maenner said.
