Patch Picks: Local Sandwich Shops

Where's your favorite sandwich spot in the Woodbury area?

Patch Picks: Local Sandwich Shops

This installment of Patch Picks features local sandwich shops. Where's your go-to spot for a sub?

PT’s Pastrami and More

This isn’t your typical sub shop. PT’s Pastrami and More offers hot sandwiches including a Philly cheese steak hoagie, Rueben, grilled cheese—with havarti, pepperjack and cheddar cheeses on Texas Toast—and its namesake the “Pastrami Tommy”—steamed pastrami on Caraway rye bread with mustard and melted Swiss cheese. The “and more” includes breakfast items like French toast and biscuits and gravy. Go early, they’re only open until 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Milio’s Sandwiches

This sandwich shop’s options run the gamut from the Veggie Delite—provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, alfalfa sprouts and mayo—to the Big Steer—roast beef, ham, lettuce, tomatoes and Dijon. Their most popular, employees said, is the Italian club—Capicola ham, Genoa salami, smoked ham, provolone, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, Italian dressing and mayo.

Panera Bread

Panera Bread has pretty solid sandwiches, and for those watching their waistline, they include calorie counts on the menu. A good comfortable place with a wide array of sandwiches, Panera has soups and salads available.

Great Harvest Bread Co.

Great Harvest Bread Co., established in 2009, is a family-owned business that specializes in hand-made, whole-grain breads and sweets—but it also has sandwiches. The best part? The bread, of course.

Potbelly Sandwich Works

Potbelly Sandwich Works offers the same sandwiches the franchise has been known for since 1977. Potbelly has “Skinny” sandwiches as well. The Patch Pick within the Patch Picks: the Italian.
