Woodbury PD Blotter: Sept. 1-6

Marijuana growing in Woodbury, pills missing from seniors and a stolen Bucky the Badger flag were among recent calls to Woodbury police.

Woodbury PD Blotter: Sept. 1-6

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

Police were called to the 10200 block of Bleeker Street on Sept. 1 on a report of a dispute between a landlord and tenant. One party allegedly threatened another with a knife, but police found no credible evidence to support the claim.

A resident called police on Sept. 1 to report that about six juveniles were smoking marijuana behind a building at the 8700 block of Promenade Lane. By the time police arrived there was no one around.

A University of Wisconsin flag went missing from a home at the 3600 block of Mount Vernon Lane during the overnight hours of Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

A man who was drunk and falling down near the intersection of Tower Drive and Brittany Lane was taken to detox on Sept. 2. Police found that the man, who is living with his parents, had previous alcohol-related offenses. His preliminary breath test showed a BAC of .325.

Workers at the Woodbury Villa Apartments contacted police on Sept. 2 after finding that several residents’ prescription pills had gone missing. The only people with access to the pills are nursing staff and health care workers. Staff told police they would look into the matter, and officers asked that they contact the police department if they learn more about the missing pills.

A Woodbury man accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake and accidentally drove his Toyota Camry over a parking barrier, railroad tie, shrubbery, second railroad tie and through a stone wall at the Red Roof Inn on Sept. 2. The man was not injured.

Police were called about a wrong-way driver at the eastbound ramp for Interstate 94 at Woodbury Drive. There was a four-minute delay on the call and police were unable to locate the Chevy Blazer.

A St. Paul resident’s license plates were stolen on Sept. 2 while her car was parked at Health Partners on Seasons Parkway.

Police were called to the Sheraton Hotel on Sept. 3 on a report of a domestic dispute. While police were unable to confirm an assault, they did find that the man had a warrant out for his arrest for theft in Ramsey County. He was arrested.

Police on Sept. 3 were called to an orchard at Hawthorn Trail and Raleigh Road after the property owner found three trees were broken.

A resident at the 3000 block of Copper Oaks Trail called police on Sept. 3 to report that her home had been toilet-papered and eggs were thrown into the driveway.

A manager at Applebee’s called police on Sept. 3 after a man, who appeared to be drunk, came in and ordered one drink and started harassing customers. The man left on foot before police arrived.

Police arrested a motorist near the intersection of Radio Drive and Hudson Road on Sept. 6 after smelling marijuana in the vehicle during a traffic stop for an equipment violation. Police found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, alcohol and three pills of oxycodone in the vehicle.

A resident who went outside to put up a deer stand at the 6000 block of Lynn Way called police on Sept. 6 learning that marijuana was growing in a field near his home. Police found plants ranging from 3-6 feet in height and several items at a nearby fire pit. The plants were photographed and destroyed.
