Theft, fights, wolf sighting, cat bite highlight recent calls to the Woodbury Police Department.

Woodbury PD Blotter: Sept. 16-21

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

Police were called to a group home at the 1200 block of Fallbrook Lane on Sept. 16 after one female resident punched another female resident because she had cooked off all the sausage. The assailant was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

A resident at the 1300 block of Cedarwood Circle called police on Sept. 16 after her neighbor’s cat bit her. She was uninjured and wearing gloves at the time; she had tried to pick up the cat, which she told police is often at large. It has been an ongoing issue.

Police were called to the on Norma Lane on Sept. 16 after a Woodbury resident thought there was a skimmer on an ATM. The woman had , but police did not find one at the bank.

A bank teller called police on Sept. 16 after a woman who pulled into the drive-through window appeared to be drunk. She dropped her driver’s license and took several minutes to retrieve it, and at one point inexplicably opened the car door and hit her head on the frame while trying to get out. The transaction was completed and police could not locate the vehicle, though they determined the driver’s residence and contact authorities there.

Police were called to a construction site at Lake Drive and Kingsfield Lane on Sept. 16 after a group of juveniles was seen throwing rocks and generally being unruly.

While checking a squad car, police on Sept. 17 found a baggie of methamphetamine stuffed into the cushion of the rear seat.

A 20-year-old man was cited for underage drinking after police found him pulled over on the side of County Road 19 during the morning of Sept. 17. He admitted to police that he was drinking heavily the night before. He registered a blood-alcohol content of .035.

Police were called to Babies R Us on Sept. 17 after two women shoplifted items from the store. A vehicle in which the women left was linked to similar incidents at the store.

A Vadnais Heights woman stopped for erratic driving at Valley Creek Road and Tower Drive on Sept. 18 was cited for DWI. The woman was released to her daughter.

A home at the 3000 block of Copper Oaks Trail was toilet-papered during the overnight hours of Sept. 17-18.

An unlocked vehicle parked at the 1600 block of Century Circle on Sept. 19 was entered and items were stolen and the steering column was damaged.

A resident called police on Sept. 19 to report that she had spotted a wolf walking along Lake Road west of Radio Drive.

Two dogs were killed by a neighbor dog at the 200 block of Cambria Court on Sept. 20.

Police on Sept. 20 found a bong in the car of a man pulled over for speeding on Tamarack Road. He offered information about a small-time drug dealer and was released with a warning. Police disposed of the bong.

A woman at the on Bielenberg Drive on Sept. 20 honked at another driver to avoid a collision. The man in the other car then got out of his vehicle and spat in her face.

Lights and an access door to the Lions Bandshell at were found damaged on Sept. 20.

The window of a Toyota Carolla parked at the 6400 block of Scheel Drive was broken and a GPS device was stolen from it during the overnight hours of Sept. 20-21.
