Brookes Bible College Offers Expanded Course List for Summer 2014 Semester

ST. LOUIS – Brookes Bible College, an evangelical institution of biblical higher education in the Greater St. Louis region, is offering an expanded set of courses during the summer semester, which runs from Tues., May 20 to Thurs., July 10.

Four new courses will be offered in order to accommodate the rising demand from both current Brookes Bible College students and from students at other colleges and universities who are home for the summer and seeking transferable credit hours.

“These summer courses will offer a way for our students to jump-start a degree program or catch up on their required coursework,” said Dr. Chris Stocklin, President of Brookes Bible College. “We are looking forward to this semester as our student body begins to grow and learn more from our knowledgeable and talented professors!”

Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and each class is 3 hours long and is offered at a very reasonable rate.

Business Ethics will be held Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and will focus on professional and Christian ethics and will challenge the student to think critically about holiness, justice, and love as a Christian professional and business owner. The instructor will be Curtis Williams.

Preventing Ministry Failure will be held Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and will prepare students for the rigors of 21st century ministry. Students will learn how to deal with significant issues, setting realistic expectations, and much more. The instructor will be Sanford Outlaw.

Marriage and Family Counseling will be held Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. The class will offer an in-depth consideration of premarital and marital counseling and will be taught by Allan Henderson.

Biblical Hebrew will be held Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon and is also offered as an online course. The class will introduce the Hebrew language of the Old Testament to the student and will give special attention to the morphology of Hebrew words and the usage of Hebrew lexicons to help students translate Hebrew at a beginner’s level. The instructor will be Mark Carpenter.

Both Business Ethics and Preventing Ministry Failure will be held at 10257 St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann, Mo., and Marriage and Family Counseling and Biblical Hebrew will both be held at 3465 South Grand Blvd.

Brookes Bible College offers an affordable, two-year program, providing each student with a robust knowledge of the Word of God and equips them with tools for applying the knowledge they gain in various fields of Christian service.
