New Drivers Licenses to Decrease Identity Theft

Take a look at how future Missouri drivers licenses will appear.

Missouri Department of Revenue officials have begun issuing new drivers licenses, non-driver identification cards and temporary licenses.

The St. Louis and Kansas City regions are set to begin the transition this month, according to information received by Eureka Police Chief Michael Wiegand.

License offices will be converted to the new process at the rate of about 15 offices per week. The roll-out should be complete in April 2013, departmental sources indicate.

The new design and issuance process will enhance security and help reduce the risk of identity theft and other types of fraud.
