Free Concert In Faust Park Tuesday, Chesterfield 7-9PM

Wow! Listen to the sound of these two by clicking here—they are good!

Scott Laytham & Karl Holmes Duo is an entertaining mix of song and impersonations, performing 7-9pm Tuesday in free summer concerts, organized by the

Holmes sings, often going by the name "Trickee", and does impersonations of artists' style including Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, James Brown, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presely, Randy Travis, Smokey Robinson and Louis Armstrong. He has sung all over and with all kinds of stars. He performed opening night at the new Fox Theatre in 1982.

Laytham also sings and plays guitar and piano. He is a prolific composer, performer, arranger. He has produced music for both local and national radio and television ads, according to the duo's website.

Bring your own blanket or lawn chair. The Faust Park concert venue opens Tuesdays by 5:15pm (on Olive Boulevard next door to ) in the same park where the  and  reside.

Food concessions open at 5:30pm, music starts at 7pm, ends at 9pm.

Area restaurants offer food for dinner from the concession, at affordable prices. Beer, wine, soda, water, popcorn and candy are also available.

Tuesday's weather forecast for evening is clear, nighttime low 71 degrees, after a high of 90 during the day and sunny. Breezy 10-15mph.

BEST TIP: Parking option

There are two entrances to the concert venue. I discovered the one last week that is east on Olive Blvd. of the main entrance to Faust Park. It's usually blocked. Going in there, you can park on the grass at the back of the concert hill. Much closer to epicenter.

Otherwise, unless you arrive very early, the main entrance to the park and its lots are typically so full that you have to walk a much longer way to the concert. This longer walk is on a paved area though, if you need that.
