MTV 'Made' With Chesterfield Teen, Saturday Noon

Angie Tozer, a senior at Chesterfield's Parkway Central High School, is featured in an MTV docu-series “Made” on Saturday, Dec. 3, at noon.

Episodes of “Made” follow young people as they embark on a mission to transform their lives. Tozer's story kicks off the series’ 11th season on MTV.

“I can’t wait to see what they actually show after filming for 150 hours and editing it to a one hour show,” Tozer said, in an email to Chesterfield Patch.

Over seven weeks this past summer, a team of MTV coaches worked with Tozer to prepare for a beauty pagent. Coaches included Ms. Missouri 2009, Tamara Osseck.

Viewers will watch the 17-year old Tozer work to shed her man-of-the-house persona that she took on after her dad died when she was a fifth-grader. Tozer struggles to change the ways that earned her the nickname “Man-gie” and is  Made into a polished pageant queen.

With help from her coach, Tozer makes over her inside—from the inside out—and finally comes to terms with her past. The culmination of Tozer’s hard work is revealed in a beauty pageant.

Tozer's family plans to view the MTV episode at bowling lounge in Chesterfield, Saturday at noon.
