Fontbonne University Welcomes Five Board Trustees

The appointees include alumna Marie Joan Harris, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Avila University, and Mary Margaret Maguire, director of association and partnership for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis Province.

Fontbonne University Welcomes Five Board Trustees

Fontbonne University in Clayton shared the following news update Tuesday. Links have been added.

Fontbonne University welcomes five new and returning appointees to the board of trustees. 

“In their lives and in their work, each of our new and returning trustees emulates the university’s mission, and each helps make it possible,” said Dr. Dennis Golden, Fontbonne University  president. “With their assistance now and in the future, we’ll continue educating leaders to serve a world in need, here in St. Louis and beyond.”

Marie Joan Harris, CSJ, is the current provost and vice president for academic affairs at Avila University, where she has taught or served in administration since 1970. A Fontbonne alumna, she was honored as a member of the 2012 Class of Influential Women in Kansas City, MO. Harris previously served on the board for nine years. She resides in Kansas City.

Darryl T. Jones is a partner with HMS/D&D Concessions, LLC in St. Louis. Active in the community, he is also currently a member of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, a director at Our Little Haven, a member of St. John’s Mercy Foundation, and a commissioner with the Missouri Gaming Commission. He previously served nine years on Fontbonne’s board of trustees. He resides in St. Louis.

Mary Margaret Maguire, CSJA, is the director of association and partnership for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Louis Province. A former teacher, she has also served as a pastoral associate for various local parishes, as well as a director or religious education. She resides in St. Louis.

Ann Pace, CSJ, now retired, is a Fontbonne University alumna, community volunteer, and former high school and college educator. She has led, assisted and facilitated communities and groups in St. Louis and beyond, and holds lifetime certification to teach both Spanish and French in Missouri. She resides in South St. Louis County.

Roseanne Siebert, CSJ, is currently the academic program coordinator and supervisor of the elementary department at St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis. Siebert, a Fontbonne alumna, began her career as a teacher, later becoming a supervisor and administrator, and has written and presented numerous papers in her field of study. She resides in Chesterfield, MO.
