A man has been in connection with three burglaries that happened last June in the same neighborhood.
Robert Delp. Jr, 44, was charged Thursday with first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree burglary, second-degree robbery and stealing after burglaries in the 700 block of South Meramec Avenue, the 700 block of Middle Polo Drive and the 600 block of West Polo Drive.
The houses are just blocks from one another.
Delp is suspected of having broken into a home on South Meramec on June 21 and having taken some jewelry, at which point the homeowner’s son came in, said in a report. Delp pushed the son and struggled with him to get out of the home, according to the report.
Police said that earlier on the same day, Delp broke into a home in the 700 block of Middle Polo Drive but left because an alarm sounded.
Court documents also state that Delp broke into a home in the 600 block of West Polo Drive on June 7 and stole jewelry valued at more than $12,000.
He pawned the jewelry, police said.
