Two men are accused of robbing a man at gunpoint Friday in Hazelwood.

Michael Davenport, 20, of the 4300 block of West Belle Avenue in St. Louis, and Bryan Knox, 18, of the 11500 bock of Rock Hampton Drive in Spanish Lake, were charged Friday with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Hazelwood Police said the two men got out of a car near the intersection of Cortena Drive and Utz Lane in Hazelwood at about 12:03 a.m. Friday. The man told police Davenport walked up to him and pointed a handgun at him. Another man came up behind him and took his cell phone and wallet, the man said.

Police said the defendant’s car was located shortly afterwards and Davenport and Knox were arrested in a nearby apartment. Police also found the man’s stolen property and a handgun in the apartment, according to a court document.

The victim identified Davenport as the person who pointed a gun at him. A third person in the car told officers that Knox took the man’s cell phone and wallet.

Davenport and Knox are being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $100,000, cash only, for both men.
