A man who stole an amplifier from AT&T Mobility returned to the store and was recognized by a store employee.

Robert T. Jones Jr, 43, of the 7200 block of Vernon Avenue in University City, was charged Oct. 31 with stealing as a third offense within 10 years.

Kirkwood Police said an employee saw Jones steal a Jaw Bone brand MP3 amplifier from the store at about 1 p.m. July 5. When Jones returned to AT&T Mobility at 1263 South Kirkwood Road a few weeks later, the employee recognized him, police said.
