soccer played Metro at home on Thursday, and most of the game looked like a 1-0 shut-out for MRH.

Senior keeper Austin Golden made diving, punching saves, but in the end he couldn't stop them all. MRH lost 3-1.

"I believe Metro probably wanted it more in the end than we did," coach Jamie Frisella said.

"We’re young," he said. "We had a major injury. We have a couple other younger kids that are beat up a lot because they’re new to high school soccer."

He said they had some success at a tournament in Hannibal, and next week have four tournament games in Hillsboro.

"I’m very proud of the way the boys are responding to everything," he said. "They’re starting to grow together as a team, and starting to understand there are 11 people on the field."
