Have you planned your Valentine's Day dinner date yet?

Maplewood and Brentwood offer some of the best destinations for sharing a romantic evening with your loved one. Lucky for you, Patch did some Valentine's Day homework so you don't have to. Check out what the restaurant hot spots are doing to celebrate the romantic holiday.

Chef Josh Galliano knows it can be hard to get a dinner reservation last minute for Valentine's Day, and is accommodating customers to make sure everyone gets a bite. Galliano's special Valentine's Day menu will be available from Feb. 10 through Feb. 18. Who said you had to celebrate on the 14th?

Not to be missed: Smoked fois gras torchon with pecan gastrique, sassafras meringue and maple syrup mustard. If you and your date are diehard foodies who don't care about getting messy, go for the slow braised short ribs with cider turnips, baby lima bean cassoulet and roasted garlic sauce.

What's for dessert? A classic, strawberry shortcake with whipped cream, Louisiana strawberries and jam.

Reservations: Call 314-644-3995 or visit opentable.com.

Food and wine, husband and wife - everything at Home Wine Kitchen points to harmonious relationships, a perfect environment for Valentine's Day. Chef Cassy Vires and her wine expert husband, and front of the house manager, Josh Renbarger will open the restaurant's doors on Tuesday, Feb. 14, though they're normally closed that day.

Not to be missed: Delicacies like duck breast with vanilla, pomegranate and shallots or scallop crudo with pink peppercorns, radish, mint and meyer lemon.

What's for dessert?  Celebrate in style - order a chocolate soufflé with champagne crème anglais.

Reservations: Call 314-802-7676 or visit Home Wine Kitchen website's reservation page.

If you thought the spaghetti scene in Lady and the Tramp was romantic, you have the chance to recreate it at Frank Papa's with a traditional Italian meal and vino this Valentine's Day. The restaurant is offering two fixed price menus, one for $45 per person and one for $59. Diners will have options to choose from four appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Not to be missed: The veal meatball soup, flash fried escarole (a signature Frank Papa's appetizer), or the Fettucine Con Aragosta - fresh fettucine pasta in a sherry wine cream and marinara sauce with a whole lobster tail's worth of sweet meat to seal the deal.

What's for dessert? Chocolate ravioli, a puff pastry filled with sweet ricotta cheese and topped with burgundy chocolate sauce and fresh berries.

Reservations: Call 314-961-3344

Is it the most romantic? It can be, especially if you enjoy receiving a four course meal and a champagne specialty cocktail for $40 (I know I do). Boogaloo's Valentine's Day pre-set special menu will be served on Feb. 11.

Not to be missed: Succulent beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes, hollandaise sauce and grilled asparagus (a known aphrodisiac).

What's for dessert? Red velvet cake or chocolate crème brulée.

Reservations: Call 314-645-4803 or visit Boogaloo's website.

Though Chef Maria Kveton has yet to reveal her Valentine's Day special menu plans, the atmoshphere at Water Street is upscale yet welcoming and romantic, and praise for the food in the news makes it a sure hit for you and your date.

Not to be missed: At the bar, Gabe Kveton will be mixing up a special 'Have a Heart' cocktail, with gin, Swedish punsch (a Scandinavian liqueur with vanilla and caramel notes), lime juice and housemade grenadine.

What's for dessert? Fresh yellow cake and strawberries with a fluffy strawberry frosting.

Reservations: Call 314-646-8355
