Man Choked Roommate After Being Asked to Move Out, Deputy Says

A St. Charles County man assaulted his roommate after being asked to move out, according to a St. Charles County Sheriff’s report.

Richard Menke, 51, of the 1400 block of Park Ashwood Court in the Harvester area, was charged Feb. 6 with third-degree domestic assault.

A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy reported that Menke became angry when his roommate asked him to move out. The deputy said Menke choked his roommate with his forearm and punched him several times in the face.

Menke was being held in St. Charles County jail Monday. Bail was set at $15,000 cash only, and Menke is to have no contact with his former roommate.
