“Slam Free or Die, the poetry open mic and slam, began as a really small group and has grown over the last six years into a vibrant, diverse community of artists that feels like a family,” said Mark Palos, founder and co-SlamMaster of Slam Free or Die. “I could not be more proud of the talent we have cultivated and the nationally-known artists who choose to showcase their work here.”
Slam Free or Die welcomes nationally-acclaimed slam poets as guest featured performers, while also showcasing local spoken word artists. Slam Free or Die has sent a team to represent N.H. at the National Poetry Slam every year since 2007. Fans will have the opportunity to see the team that will represent Slam Free or Die at the upcoming National Poetry Slam in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville, Mass. August 13-17.
