Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Brush Fire In Bow: Watch
Firefighters, including a forestry unit, extinguished a brush fire on White Rock Hill Road Saturday.
BOW, NH — Bow firefighters were sent to a brush fire Saturday on White Rock Hill Road in the area of Timmins Road. Firefighters reported the fire at around 4:45 p.m. after finding a "large outside fire" near Bow High School. It is unknown what caused the fire at post time but an excavator was at the scene.
When the Bow tanker got to the scene, shortly after the first units arrived, a firefighter reported to dispatch that it was "a large, illegal outside fire," according to scanner chatter.
A second alarm was then called at just before 5 p.m. Later, a forest ranger was requested to the scene.
