Firefighters Knock Down Home Fire In Pembroke

Update: Blaze at 419 Ross Road fire goes to two alarms on Sunday morning.

PEMBROKE, NH — Capital region fire and rescue teams were sent to Pembroke this morning for a house fire. According to reports online, at just after midnight, firefighters were called to 419 Ross Road in Pembroke for a fire at a single-family home. No one was injured during the fire.

Pembroke Fire Chief Harold Paulsen told WMUR-TV that the home is uninhabitable. Neighbors, he noted, tipped off firefighters to the smoke coming from the house.

Reports on Twitter this morning stated that the family escaped the fire unharmed but Paulsen reported that the home's residents were on vacation at the time of the fire.
