Tractor-Trailer Crashes On I-93 In Concord

NHSP: The southbound side of the highway was closed for several hours after the vehicle lost control while trying to navigate an exit.

CONCORD, NH — The driver of a tractor-trailer truck was transported to the hospital on Saturday morning after a crash on I-93 South in Concord, according to state police. Troopers from Troop D were called to a crash scene involving a Ross Express tractor-trailer at just before 1:30 a.m. on June 1, 2019. The truck had attempted to navigate Exit 16 exit and drove off the right shoulder of the highway, according to Sgt. Vincent Grieco of Troop D.

“The tractor trailer lost control, exiting the roadway, striking a light pole, an exit sign, and several trees,” he noted.

The driver – a 48-year-old man – was transported to Concord Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The right lane of I-93 was closed for several hours as crews removed the truck and debris from the highway.

The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and Concord Fire and Rescue teams.
