7 Assisted After Fire at Catalano’s Market
Watch: Blaze at popular shop near the beach went to three alarms this morning. Firefighters from Hampton and Portsmouth lend a hand.

SEABROOK, NH — Local firefighters spent the early morning hours this morning battling a fire at Catalano’s Market on Ocean Boulevard in Seabrook which displaced seven people who live in the building, according to alerts online. The fire started at around 3:30 a.m. on March 15, 2017, and hit a third alarm at just before 5:30 a.m. Firefighters from Hampton, Portsmouth, and other communities, were sent to assist and offer coverage.

Rental units in the popular shop were damaged and seven people were displaced. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the residents, according to Lloyd Ziel of the American Red Cross. Volunteers met with them and ensured that everyone was safe, had a place to sleep, as well as essentials, he noted.
