Persephanie Lesperance, 24, a model, was arrested on multiple charges in connection to a Seacoast heroin distribution ring.

Hampton's Maxim 'Hometown Hottie' Busted in Drug Sweep
A Hampton model who was a runner-up in  Maxim 's 2013 "Hometown Hottie" competition was among eight people arrested Wednesday during a drug sweep in Portsmouth.

Persephanie Lesperance, 24, whose hometown is Hampton but currently resides at 220 Raleigh Way in Portsmouth, was charged with conspiracy to sell heroin and possession of Suboxone. She was held on cash bail.

Lesperance was one of 10 finalists in Maxim's annual girl-next-door beauty contest, and she used her quirky and community-focused spirit to propel her past her competitors.

Lesperance's competition  page and video interviews stood out from some of her more glamor-focused challengers, as she showcased her looks while also explaining how she uses them to do positive things in life.

"I have a wicked soft spot for charities, whether I'm help raising [sic] the money or donating it out of pocket, I love to help out in any way I can," said Lesperance in a video on her profile. "I think I'd make the perfect Maxim small-town 'hottie' because I’m a true small town girl just trying to make a difference."

Lesperance  told New Hampshire Magazine that she was just getting started in modeling and in her spare time did charity work, including collecting dresses, shoes and accessories for young girls whose families were affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Police said the Lesperance's arrest was part of an ongoing investigation into heroin distribution in the Seacoast.
