Entrepreneur Works to Make Beekeeping Accessible for Everyone

Introducing PerfectBee, providing a 3-step process to becoming a beekeeper.

Long-time program manager for a large software company, Mark Williams, is undertaking a new venture to make beekeeping accessible for everyone. Williams began PerfectBee in 2015 with the vision of a 3-step process to bring people from curious to beginner beekeeper. Since then, he’s published rich and detailed content based on that approach, on http://www.perfectbee.com, rolled out the first 2 of 3 ebooks, and begun plans for intermediate, advanced, and chemical-free/natural beekeeping content.

In the 3 short months since beginning the project, the interest has been phenomenal. PerfectBee has achieved over 9,000 likes on their Facebook page and has thousands of newsletter subscribers.

The catalyst for this idea was when Williams’ 19-year daughter received a beekeeping book for Christmas 2014. Williams was inspired to research beekeeping himself and found it fascinating. “Beekeepers are playing an increasingly important role, especially with the many threats to bees these days,” said Williams. “In short, we need to turn a new wave of curious folks into active, engaged beekeepers. PerfectBee is focused on making that transition intuitive and fun”. Williams became determined to create a site that inspires others to participate in this valuable hobby and provides them with the knowledge and tools needed to keep bees healthy. “And all that glorious honey helps too!”adds Williams.
