Illegal Alien from Mexico to Be Deported Again

Juan Martinez, arrested in Nashua in March, pled guilty in court for illegally re-entering the United States after being deported in 2011.

CONCORD, NH - An illegal alien from Mexico pled guilty on June 13, 2016, in U.S. District Court for re-entering the United States after previously being deported, according to U.S. Attorney Emily Gray Rice.

Juan Martinez, of Mexico, was sentenced to time served and will be deported immediately, according to a press statement.

Back on March 24, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials from Manchester were in Nashua conducting surveillance of a vehicle that the defendant was known to operate.

"At approximately 9:30 p.m., the defendant exited a house in the area of Palm Street and entered the driver’s side of a black BMW," according to Rice. "The defendant was then approached by an ICE Deportation Officer, who conducted a brief interview in Spanish during which he confirmed the defendant’s name was Juan Martinez, that he was a citizen of Mexico, and that he had illegally entered the United States.  At this time, the deportation officer placed the defendant into ICE custody for immigration violations."

At the Manchester officer, ICE officials ran Martinez's fingerprints into the system and compared them to databases. The comparison revealed that the defendant’s fingerprints were an exact match to fingerprints obtained from the defendant at the time of his deportation from the Brownsville, TX, to Mexico on Feb. 18, 2011, according to Rice. He was officially charged on April 15.
