Naked Pelham Man Shoots Up Apartment After Seeing Imaginary Intruders: Police
Mark Schlagel was arrested Saturday after officers said they found him with seven guns and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition.

Pelham police said a naked man with a huge arsenal of weapons and ammunition shot up his apartment Saturday after seeing imaginary intruders.
Mark Schlagel, 67, was arrested at his residence in the Nashua Road Apartments complex and charged with felony reckless conduct.
Police said they found him with seven guns, 200 magazines, and 10,000 rounds of ammunition. The guns included four pistols, two rifles, and a shotgun. Photos of the arsenal can be found above.

Police said Saturday at about 6 p.m., they received a call from other tenants that Schlagel was yelling he “shot four people.” He told arriving officers that four people were trying to cut a hole through his closet wall. Officers said they found no evidence of people trying to break in. No one was hurt in the incident.
Schlagel was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for an evaluation.
