New Hampshire Mosque Vandalized on 9/11 Anniversary
Nashua police said they're looking for three youth suspects who vandalized the Islamic Society of Greater Nashua Sunday night.
NASHUA, NH — Someone threw a rock through a window at a Nashua mosque while worshipers were inside on Sunday — the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Police said the act of vandalism happened at about 8:15 p.m. at the Islamic Society of Greater Nashua. They're looking for three youth suspects who were also seen throwing rock at a city park sign near the mosque 20 minutes earlier.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact Nashua police at 603-594-3500.
The Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations was dismayed by the vandalism.

“Whenever any house of worship is attacked in this manner, law enforcement authorities should investigate a possible bias motive for the crime,” said chapter Executive Director John Robbins in a statement, adding the incident comes "at a time of rising Islamophobia nationwide."
U.S. Sens. Kelly Ayotte and Jeanne Shaheen, of New Hampshire, condemned the vandalism.
