Incumbent School Board Members Ousted in Windham
Murray, Popovici-Muller both win seats; school renovations, field proposals fail.

Two incumbent Windham School Board members were bested at the polls on March 10, 2015, by solid margins, according to the unofficial school race results.
Tom Murray came in first for one of the two seats with 1,735 votes. Another challenger, Daniel Popovici-Muller, came in second with 1,618 votes. Trailing far behind where the two incumbent board members, Mike Joanis, who received 1,313 votes, and Jerome Rekart, who received 1,244. More than 3,200 ballots were cast, according to the unofficial results.
Anne-Marie O’Neil was elected treasurer over Laura Bellavia by a 1,321 to 1,106 margin.

Voters also went to the polls to cast ballots for seven articles. Most were approved including the school operating budget but 110 votes and the facility manager proposal, which was approved by nearly 800 votes. However, the Windham High School field proposal and school renovations and additions warrant articles were defeated by more than 300 votes and more than 800 votes, respectively.
