Jet Ski Fire Spreads, Engulfs Long Beach Township Home
Heavy fire conditions that began in garage quickly spread to top floors of house.
A house on Bay Terrace in Long Beach Township was heavily damaged after a Jet Ski in the garage caught fire and quickly spread to the top floors of the home, according to the Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page.
The fire broke out at 6:51 p.m. on Saturday. Heavy smoke and fire was billowing out of the garage and a vehicle was starting to burn when help arrived. The fire spread to the top floors and fire companies from up and down Long Beach Island arrived, the post states.
"Crews were making an aggressive interior attack but had to be evacuated due to deteriorating conditions," according to the post.

Conditions improved after ladder truck and deck guns were deployed. Five trucks and 25 members from the Beach Haven Fire Company responded.
