Bernards Township Planning Board passed a resolution to memorialize the denial of the proposed mosque by the Islamic Society

Basking Ridge, NJ -- Bernards Township Planning Board members passed a resolution to memorialize the denial of the proposed mosque by Islamic Society of Basking Ridge.

The resolution was voted on by board members at the Jan. 19 meeting memorializing the denial of the preliminary and final site plan approvals and the denial/dismissal of other relief.

The Islamic Society of Basking Ridge, Inc. had submitted an application back in September 2012 to build a 4,250-square-foot Islamic mosque on Church Street, a historic section of the township.
