The school canceled all junior conferences on Wednesday, March 30 so that all counselors can be available for children.

Volunteers from the Somerset County Traumatic Loss Coalition assisted Bernards Township district counselors in providing grief counseling and support to individuals and groups of students, Howlett stated in another letter to parents sent out on Wednesday night.

"The team not only counseled those who sought out support, but also reached out directly to many students we anticipated would be affected by the loss," Howlett stated.

Junior conferences will resume tomorrow. District and county counselors will also continue to be on hand this week to provide individual and group counseling.

To make arrangements for a counselor to speak with your child during school Thursday, Howlett is asking parents to call or email your grade level administrator or Jillian Shadis the District Supervisor of Counseling.
