A Bernards Township home was left with ”substantial” damage after a fire, which appeared to have started on the rear deck, ripped through the house on Wednesday afternoon.

The family, including their dog, escaped the Launcelot Lane home without injury - the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious, according to nj.com.
