Help Wanted Medical Asst/Recpt

Medical Assistant/Receptionist Needed for very busy bloomfield office
_Tasks & Responsibilities include all but are not limited to the following:
Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, while patient is on phone verify patient demographics, and insurance information. Taking messages and relaying messages to the appropriate parties. 
Upon arrival make sure you have patient charts for all patients on the schedule for the day. Look over chart past visits, confirm all pending claims have been paid, and payment is posted. Make sure all patient demographics and insurances are verified, and copayments collected prior to the patient entering the examination room. Make a note in patient's chart that the insurance has been verified. Check for room availability, and make sure the room is clean, and has all the supplies that may be needed for the visit.
Call patient by first and last name, hold door open for the patients to enter. Escort them to the scale to take weight for sick patients. Then to the exam room and take temperature, and collect urine sample if necessary. For well visits, physical exams or preoperative examinations weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oxygen levels, vision & hearing tests need to be performed. All patient vitals need to be recorded into chart through encounter for the date of service. Confirm the pharmacy on file for patient, and which pharmacy we should use if medications are given. Check if the patient has an active patient portal, if not, please print out patient portal information, and instruct patient with the proper instructions. Let the doctor know patient is ready to be seen, and please specify which room the patient is in, and in which order the patients need to be seen according to the schedule. 
Once the doctor has examined the patient, have the patients exit the exam room. If the patient needs a note for school, or has paperwork that needs to be completed they can have a seat in waiting room until paperwork/notes/referrals are completed. (This way the exam room is empty for the next patient on schedule.) Please clean the room after each patient, and restock with supplies if necessary. 
At the end of the day make sure the amount of money in the pouch, matches the amount of money noted on the sign in sheet. Call to confirm all appointments scheduled for the following day. If the number we have on file is not in service, make a note in the chart so we can ask them for it at the time of their visit. Clean all exam rooms by wiping down everything down, and sweeping. Take the trash out daily at the end of the day. If we have labs- blood work, urine, cultures, or any specimens take them down to the specimen pick-up boxes
Salary negotiable pending past employment experience. Must have references, clean background, and will be drug tested
