Man Found Unconscious Dies At Island Beach State Park, Officials Say

ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK, NJ — A man who was found unconscious died at Island Beach State Park Monday night, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection said.

The 49-year-old man was found unconscious by New Jersey State Park Police at 9:12 p.m. Monday, DEP spokeswoman Caryn Shinske told Patch.

Attempts to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful, she said.

The Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.

No further information was immediately available.
