Update: Organizer Rob Szivek announced this weekend via Facebook that a Bloomfield-area Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment was cancelled "due to a death in the family"—but went forward with another scheduled event.
Residents calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama and charging the nation's chief executive for treason held day-long protests throughout New Jersey Tuesday, and one took place in Bloomfield, according to Bloomfield Life.
The Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment effort, part of Facebook group New Jersey "Patriot Waves," a clearinghouse for anti-Obama efforts in the Garden State, sought to inspire similar protests all over the U.S.
The anger, as stated on Overpasses.org, stems from opposition to the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare), the Supreme Court ruling that rendered the federal Defense of Marriage unconstitutional and a host of other issues, 12 in all.
