Body Found In Bloomfield Car Wasn’t A Homicide: Report

Authorities found the body on Lakewood Drive in Bloomfield, reports say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Authorities are investigating an incident involving a man found dead inside a car in Bloomfield on Thursday, reports say.

Acting on reports of suspicious activity on the 200 block of Lakewood Drive around 8 p.m., officers arrived on the scene to find an unresponsive male inside a vehicle, RLS Media stated. Authorities pronounced the man dead on the scene shortly afterwards.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the death was not ruled a homicide, RLS Media reported.

The Bloomfield Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Citing unnamed sources, TAP Into Montclair reported that the car may have been stolen.
